My childhood friend has my phone number yes. New update Tx and I are not getting along as well as before but we are taking things day by day. My childhood friend asked me to be his gurl and I told him I dunno because I didn't want to hurt his feelings. And I recently found out that my childhood friend is in jail so that's why i haven't heard from him in about 2 weeks or so.

i've always wondered the same thing about the screensavers. if you leave a screen saver on long enough you can get burn in from that also. oh well. That theory actually makes sense. your hard disks need a couple seconds spin up time. the constant turning off and on can increase the chances of the hard disk being damaged during that process. another thing that i didnt think of is... its really not that great to have your computer on unsupervised because if your cpu fan or mobo fan goes without your knowing and your comptuer is on for all that time you can burn out your cpu.

wow, so i am by myself with this. no one had a problem finding the reply link for the first time? I honestly think 'reply' should be a button and not formatted as a link. that is very strange to me.

thats crazy because if i upgrade my account i should be able to get more allowed bandwidth. doesnt seem too fair. where is opaque when you need him. *sighs*

My account was suspended due to Bandwidth Overusage. So Opaque told me I can either opt for the $9.99 plan or upgrade to the second free account. So I got busy and started posting like crazy. I am a big mouth in person so that was no problem for me. I got 34 hosting credits in no time. I applied for the upgrade and was granted it. I followed the procedure to activate the upgrade and it did nothing. I've still been suspended for two days now. I've asked another moderator because I couldnt find an admin and he said to try and get back 10 hosting credits and try again, I did that and still no cigar. Whats going on? Is there something wrong with my account? I have members of my forum banging down my door to know whats going on. Please help!!!!-=Dymond=-

For years now I have been trying to get away from windows and explore other operating systems. With all the security flaws in windows its no wonder people want to try to find something else that is secure. So I did my research and I read a few things that said that Linux, Unix, and FreeBSD was the way to go. So I tried my hand in it. I read the disclaimers and all that. I know that they say that it is difficult to start out and it is totally different from windows operating systems. But what I dont understand is why they choose to make everything so darn difficult. Yes, I said choose. Just now I'm reading a quick start read-me file for the ubuntu distro based on debian and it says to add repositories and DOES NOT EXPLAIN WHAT THE HECK A REPOSITORY IS. I've been to IRC channels and try to talk to Linux users to get help and they are all jerks. No one wants to take the time to explain anything to you. The manuals and tutorials are crap. And the GUI looks like poop! So I ask, what is so great about Linux anyways? I haven't seen anything to impress me yet. It was only my curiosity that drove me to check out Linux but it sucks.Reasons why it sucks:1) Drivers for linux are impossible to find and most of them are written by some college nerd that pretty much might be the same person writing viruses for windows.2) The GUIs (desktop manager or whatever they call them ) look terrible. I've downloaded themes for gnome and it still looks like poop.3) Installing applications are impossible. You open up terminal (command prompt thingy) and type a bunch of mumbo jumbo and you still get errors and nothing ever works right. You have to be a rocket scientist to figure that crap out.4) Everyone who uses linux is some egg head nerd that thinks he knows everything so why would he WANT to help you. Hence, the Linux community are a bunch of snobs. *flips bird*5) The initial installation process takes like 4 score and 7 years. I mean really, what the heck is it installing all that time? I've tried debain, ubuntu, and fedora, all the same crap.6) Cause I said so.No more will I attempt to use linux.

Seeing as the sims 2 nightlife expansion has drivable cars now, does anyone have any sites yet that have custom drivable cars? I found a couple on modthesims but for some reason they didnt work in my game. If you find any cars you can post em here. Heck, if you find anything sims 2 related you can post it here.

I personally believe your problem also has something to do with overheating. No signal usually means that there is no signal being receieved from the gfx card or onboard video. Worst case scenario you might have burnt out the video portion on your mobo. Other things I can think of are, maybe your monitor stopped functioning. Have you tried to use your pc with another monitor? I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so I wont ask you if you spilled any drinks on your monitor or anything. LOL. (did you?) Hey, if you "recently" got the computer then call up NEC. Thats what warranties are for.

I am a touchy feely type person so any guy I am with has to like to cuddle, hug and kiss. Those are a must in order to be with me. Cuddling brings you and your partner closer and allows the both of you to have some time to talk to each other about each other and your relationship.

Be straight foward and honest. Tell her you like her and want to spend more time with her. Say will you be my girlfriend. Honesty is always the best policy so tell her exactly how you feel about her. Also ask her how she feels make sure your ont he same page. If she says yes let her know what you want out of a relationship with her and pray it's the same thing she wants out of one with you.

Is your beef with the head phones or with rap music. The genre of music should not even be a part of your arguement if it is really about the volume. Everyone is going to have there own opinion on good and bad music but the thread started made a thread called turn down your head phones. Not turn down your rap music so it should not be apart of this arguement or the focus in anyones post.

I am now 25 years old and I have never been trick or treating. Yes I am a Christian and I don't believe in celebrating all these man made holidays. I think my mother did a hell of a job raising me and my siblings. I will take a page from my moms book and not allow my kids to go trick or treating either. We have funerals to remember and celebrate the dead there is no need for a holiday such as halloween. This is my own personal opinion. I feel like to each his own because I am no one to judge.

Am I the only one who saw the episode of the X Files with the chupacabra. It wasn't that scarey but it made me think a little. Then I came back to reality. I doubt the chupacbra is real but it is a scary myth.

She may be playing games with you. Right now only time will tell. All you can do is wait and see. Since you are not getting the kind of feedback from her that you want just ignore her and move on. Makes no sense you keep worrying over her and she isn't showing you the type of attention you want.

I've been noticing some things on the gmail site that are a bit annoying and makes you want to log the heck out. for example some of the functions on the section that you read the email on are almsot hidden due to the extremely small font size. like the forward and reply are not buttons, they are links and they are very small. They are at the bottom and the top of each message. but because they look like regular links you can miss them easily. and for a person like myself that gets frustrated easily that is a bad thing because it seems they will lose a lot of subscribers like that. I also think they should have the link to the directions for the pop accounts on the login page. It took me a while to find it. I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one. then they have the settings option on the top near the log out. i would think the settings would be on the left navigation with everything else. its kind of confusing if you think about it.thoughts, anyone else?

Has anyone thought of the possibility that there is something wrong with the hard drive? I have had that problem with a few computers with old harddrives. When the harddrive is about ready to die the ide light stays red and every now and then you hear some clicking from the hard drive. Is there any noises coming from the hard drive? If you can get your hands on a small hard drive try to use that hard drive and atempt to instal windows on it but dont finish. see if that hard drive hangs also.

yeah its great. One of the worst things that I remember about building a computer was finding out that a week later the item I ordered went on sale. That bites so badly. I also didnt like that every site that I ordered from had a text box so you can enter a "coupon code". Thats such crap. I've never seen one of those coupon codes yet, and I've been shopping online for years. Did multiple searches for them and still no cigar. I'm starting to think they dont exist. LOL

I dont care what anyone says, norton rules. It may be clumsy and takes up tons of memory and tries to take hold of your whole computer but at least it works. I'd rather fight for control over my comptuer with norton than with a virus. I have proved norton to work plenty of times and it always stood the test of time. I always wished that they had a no frills version for a person like me that runs plenty of applications and services running in the backround. I dont really completely trust symantec antivirus corp that much either. I use it on my server but thats about it. dont let anyone deter you from using norton. It works.

At the time i really didnt have the money to build my computer in one shot so I had to build my pc from scratch but piece by piece. I got my Xblade case with sensor panel for about $80 bucks. I got my wireless optical mouse and keyboard for about $40. Then I got my cpu (AMD 3200+ 64bit clawhammer) and mobo (asus k8v deluxe) for $318 on the dot shipped got a sata 120 gb western digital for about $80. Got some no name ram 1gb ddr for $50 each. (mistake). Got a dvdrw+- for about $40. Still working on the LCD. I dont really care for one but It will complete the look and it will save me some space on my desk.

my computer is always on. 24 7 365. I assume that I am doing some wear and tear on the computer's power supply but those are cheap and come a dime a dozen so I am not worried in the least bit. The only thing that concerns me is that I am shortening the life of my cpu by leaving it on for so many hours at a time but then again by the time the cpu gives out on me I'll be ready to buy a new one so who cares. I also have a file server for my business that stays on all the time. I'm not worried about that either because that has a upc back up also. I really dont think you are doing that much damage by keeping it on. Like some one said before in the thread you can only really be doing damage by running the risk of getting a virus. If you arent on you cant get a virus. But if you take the proper steps you can avoid getting a virus all together. Have your virus definitions update on a schedule and do daily scheduled scans. That also goes for spyware scanners also. Dont let anyone scare you about keeping your pc on, its harmless. Unless your power bill says different. LOL

I was just giong to bring that up. excellent points. Like I said before my AMD chip is always below 39 degrees c. Its always cool. I build pc's and every Intel chip I use after applying thermal grease and heatsink starts out at about 52 degrees c and go down while the AMD equivalants start out at about 43 and go down. The X2 chips are also very expensive. I want to trade in my chip and mobo set so I can get this but I'll still be short about $200.
