  1. I have a GameDaemon server. Well it was more like clan leader's server and i had the rcon to it. Anyways, there is this program called HLSW which most of you probably know and know what it is used for. You pretty much look into who is in the server, scores, and have admin access to the server if you know the rcon password set on the server. So with an HLSW you can put in rcon in the server properties and you have the access to kick or even ban people from the server. The problem is, you should not experiment with that, because there is no option for unban or even to check server ban list. We had to go through a lot of trouble to get the people unbanned after someone had fun banning so a suggestion to those using HLSW and have rcon to server, DO NOT BAN people, just kick.
  2. I have a question about file transfering say from one country to another. Is there any program that has nothing to do with FTP when you have no FTP access or server to load up to for another person to download from. MSN was a way to go 2 years ago, but now it's in demand and more people are using it so msn file transfer is UBER slow. Also some other programs are Windows Netmeeting , ICQ and AIM, all were fast till some point of massive amount of people switching to those. Does anyone know a good program i could get for free that wont involve me uploading files somewhere jsut a straight p2p transfer?
  3. I normally don't have anything to do with proxy servers or anything like that, just connect to the internet normally. How ever i found out about this program called proxifier through RPGs when the connection to the server was breaking somewhere after server was moved, Proxifier was the best way to go. >>> http://www.checker.freeproxy.ru/ <<< if you are in a need for fresh new proxy ip addresses that is a very useful site, and it's also the one i used to update my proxy server list. Proxifier as I see it is only good for games to be run better, because when you load your saved profile with the proxy servers list it will not allow any program to access the internet (any kind of explorers) only the game that you launch after you load profile.
  4. To those of you that know company : Rogers that provides both internet and TV and even more. When you are a customer for a long time with them you always get a bunch of stuff cheaper than other people and you also have to make them see that u want it cheaper or in some cases free lol i had to find out the hard way. When they released cable extreme internet connection both me and my friend were both long time users and we both had same old crapy modems. So what do i do... i call Rogers and ask em if i could upgrade to cable extreme and they say i have to pay $100 for the exchange so i'm like ok, if that what's the cost of the new modem why not since im getting better internet i'll pay it and i did. About 2 weeks later my friend calls in and says his internet is slow comparing to "his friend" (me ) and they come over and replace it to the same modem as i spent $100 on and now we got same cable extreme connection and i'm out of $100
  5. The absolutely best and fun to use weapon is: MP5IT OWNS both short and long distance when you are an experienced gamer (not a noob) and then head shots from this gun are just beautiful -_-TIP: if you are trying to make a good CS movie MP5 part has to be in it. All the awesome looking headshots while you jump are the things people want to see in a CS movie.
  6. I personally feel neutral towards steam. When it first came out i switched to it because you did not have to own a CD key to play CS it was already pre added to your games list. However when they added the security to it, made it a bit slower (i was using AOL dial up) and after they made it so you need your own CD key. So i switched to 1.5 for the first time and ofcourse it was awesome comparing to steam but they had to close it down to more all the gamers on to steam instead of the 50 / 50 that was going on at the time. Steam does have good updating system because you would never have to check websites and look for updates yourself. How ever to those people wanting to play CS 1.6 and other valve games there are non-steam versions of those games, which you can download and install separetely from steam folder and run them how you would run CS1.5 or older.
  7. when you are a new player in Counter Strike, it is always a good idea to keep your sensitivity in mind to increase the aim accuracy. For example if you are playing with a ball mouse you should be starting with sensitivity of around 6-8 and work your way down from there to get as comfortable as possible. On the other hand if you are using an optical mouse you should be using a lower sensitivity of about 3-4.5 (and decimals do mean a lot, althought not as noticable when you are new to the game). To change your sensitivity open console and type [ /sensitivity *number of sens you want* ]

  9. with all the new game console systems coming out, PlayStation1 is out of style and for the people that actually do own it, it is very hard to find any parts that might be broken to replace them. I been all over town looking for a new controller, because the one i got is busted and no one sells them anymore. Also games for it are all gone now. Only way i think to buy them now is eBay. if anyone else knows any store that still sells PS1 games? Notice from cmatcmextra: Topic titles are important at Xisto. PS1 is not descriptive. Renamed.
  10. There were 2 updates throught out duration of the day (august 11). Both of them were updates for steam platform and second one also updated CS. I noticed that me and everyone else i know that play CS have problems getting into servers after these updates. It always gives the server verification error and kick you out of the server. The most effective ways to beat that for the current time is either: if server port is 27015 not to put it in while putting in ip in console (connect 89.115.1.2 ) without the port you will not get the verification error. The server ip posted is not an actual server. Althought if the port is not 27015 which is the default it is better to try a few times to cennect to the server and even if the server is in your favourites list, right click on it and choose "view server info" and copy paste the ip address in console.
  11. well favourite map would have to be de_nukede_dust2 is just way too played out, it's on every server right now and also added to CAL map list. questio: how do you make your own map, i always wanted to try and make one.
  12. Oh man that game is jokes. It must have been the first game i ever played on a computer. Although i quit that to move on to games with better graphics, runespace has a plus to it. You never have to install it or even download, you just login and play it off the internet. That's the good thing. But I just wish they would maybe do something about the graphics or animations then more people would play it.
  13. Yet again Lineage is a very popular game and whole lot of people play it. It's good because unlike other rpg's that have same thing going on over and over here it's always different. The big world map is great, and the variety of creatures you can meet in this game is very big. One thing i do not like that much about this game though it the races and how they are "equaled" out. They say all races are the same with a little bit of +/- to them, but it seems as thought humans are the strongest race, which is not necesarily a bad thing, but it should be more random.
  14. Before saying that you don't like rpg's u got to try more than 2-3 games. I for once am more into first person shooters, but rpg can also be fun. For example Lineage2, it was fun for the first 2 months while i played on a retail server, then i gave up because i didn't feel like wasting money on a game. There is a whole lot of free servers out there that you could play on and its easy to find in google. So give it a shot if you feel like it, but on a free serverm rates that you get experience and money and other drops at is greater so it's more fun that way i think. After all you'll love any kind of game after you are no longer new to it and know what you are doing
