Nobody Posted About World Of Warcraft? Oh well come here...
Trystim replied to chrisville's topic in Computer Gaming
There are quite a few WoW topics inside here just gotta search a few started by me and at least one comment from me in each of them.I currently have a 60 warlock on Windrunner server and 36 rogue.Warlocks have taken a huge hit in performance aka the nerf bat has struck them. The end game is awesome, pvp is pretty much even for the most part with a few classes needing tweaked not nerfed like they prefer to do lol.One thing i like about being 60 is i originally thought there would be no end game content to perform but there are still quests and dungeons that aren't bad on revisiting. I anxiously anticipate a level cap increase though.Onyxia is fun and easy if you know what your doing...Molten Core is definately by far one of the most involved instances that require alot of teamwork and concentration.Same with battlegrounds which is now out minus a few bugs it isn't to bad. aka the soulshard bug for warlocks. My warlock is a 300 tailor had 300 skinning but working on enchanting now lol tailoring is fun and nice to have as well just for making your cloth armor to wear. He is one piece short of full dreadmist and has 1 epic armor piece Felheart belt.Again as I stated I am on the windrunner server you can check out my guilds website at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ big family oriented group doing alot of higher end stuff now with 30+ lvl 60's makes it easier.Looke me up some time name on there is Demitrious for my warlock and Darkmyst for my rogue. -
What Rpg Games Are Worth Investing In? (ps2) I need to fill my shelves.
Trystim replied to shade's topic in Computer Gaming
Everquest: Champions of Norrath is an MMO for the PS2 yes an rpg but with a monthly fee it is good though don't let a monthly fee discourage you. There is also quite a few others i will list a few below.1) Chrono Cross & Chrono Trigger both good games and made by Square Enix/soft.2) Devil May Cry series i thorougly enjoy them both waiting to get the third.3) Baldurs Gate series is also good but i have always liked Baldurs Gate4) Kingdom Hearts (already mentioned)5) Star Ocean is there but i didn't really care for it.6) Dark Cloud reminds you of FF7 which i liked both lol.7) BloodRayne series isn't to bad either.that should give you a pretty good list to research on and maybe even rent from Blockbuster or something to try them make sure you like them before you toss the money out for it.Hope this helped a little. -
most places you buy the domain name from have a seperate login to where you can enter and changethe DNS ip's to your web space providers designated more then likely recieved in your initial email when you joined them. After that is done you need park/addon the domain name at your web space provider so that it recognizes and apply any redirects that your wishing to have done as well. It takes anywhere from as quick as 6 hrs to as long as 72 hrs which is a pain in the but with the speed of everything else on the net you think it would done in minutes.Hope this helps resolve any thing you were wondering.
-
Everything stated so far is correct and questioned as well properly. If you are new to the scene and don't know how to use redirects and such you want to just use the basic index.html as your first/main home page. You always upload to www or public_html folder unless once again you are redirecting to another folder contained within those folders mentioned. Store it anywhere else to keep it out of site from others if your working on it or make a blank index.html page so they can't just surf your directory contents.Viable utility is a ftp client as well which will help to assure you get it in the right location . Myself i use Filezilla, free opensource and very stable/reliabe.Hopethis information helps you goood luck.

Very sweet sig set up just curious where did you get the dragon from if i may inquireand are there more graphics like it where you did recieve it. Pm me the info you wouldn't mind. I will be working on something similar to this for my sig i want to create for World of Warcraft and might come to you for a few other pointers as well which i will explain at a later time.Nice tutorial look forward to attempting it myself good work.
-
nice post quick easy and cool effect for those psychedelic pages lol. I used tomake things along thoselines all the time but have since moved away from that style of graphical work.
-
Afraid I have to agree with both gallo and Cammie stunning effects as per the usual considering where it comes from though I would expect noless just a let down overall on the story is all.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS You have been forwarned if you havent seen it dont read ahead. Ok now that i have warned people my 2 cents. He still left loose ends. I mean Anakin was supposed to be the most powerful Jedi and most in tune with the force even untrained. So my question is this... How does he fall to Darth Vader so easily? Yes I know Darth Sidious said that he would teach Anakin how to save Padme but when he (anakin) swore allegiance why didn't it click in his head when the following lines occured. Anakin: "Teach me how to save save a life." Sidious: "Only one man was ever able to do that but together we can learn how." I mean hello to me that sends a signal this guy just lied to me I should just kill him and get it over with. He should of explained more how Anakin was easily duped/turned to the darkside other then just leaving us to assume things. Assumption is a bad thing. And even though he was turning to the darkside Obi was like his best friend and father figure for how long like 10 yrs or more. How easily he was able to draw a sabre and attack without using the force to sense if what was being said was true or not. I don't know Yes it was better then the first 2 but it still left me an avid Star Wars fan wanting more explanation a better filled story I guess you could say. I hope we can get that when the Directors uncut version he plans on putting out is released. Rumor is that it is going to have approxiamately 2.5 hrs more of footage or something close to that. Feel free to flame me beat me etc etc but that is just what i think.

I reach - credits at least once a month due to my work schedule and what not. But I have noticed the same thing because when I left for my mini vacation I had enough credits to get me through plus 1 day I came back and was some how at -5 credits. I should of been at -1 at most. Might need to still do some tweaking on the credit system.

Kingdom Hearts 2 And Halo 3 Including Ff12 who will prevail
Trystim replied to Megaman's topic in Computer Gaming
Based off a biased opinion and fan following alone I am willing to bet FF 12 will come out on top.I have played and beaten each and everyone of them and so have many who visit this site so I am sure many will agree as well. But Square Enix aka (Square Soft) Has always done a great job with the technology present at the current time to whip out an awesomely done Final Fantasy. Just take 7 and 9...8 was ok but could of been a tad better but i wont complain lol.The storylines in FF series are always immersive and great deal of interaction and control over so much of the characters.I look forward to FF 12 and any of it's predecessors that will come out on the PS3 when the time comes to be playing on it.As i said this is a biased opinion of a FF fan but some hard facts that back it up not just opinion. -
After hearing about and seeing the benchmark tests and how badly the PS3 blows all other systems out of the water I will gladly wait till spring of 2006 to get mine. The fact alone that they aren't rushing the release of it and waiting fine tuning and tweaking it is enough for me but all the little bells and whistles such as:1) Blue Ray technology discs (6 times more then dvd discs) imagine the gaming you can cram on one of those babies.2) Full backwards compatility for ps2 and ps1 games so everyone can keep what they have for their favorites and still get new games to play as well.3) usb support and wireless support for external harddrives as well as wi-fi and blue tooth technology for surfing web etc etc.4) will support multiple types of flash disc aka thumb drives etc etc as well.5) Cell technology for the processing new technology to boot.6) and full support of NVidia graphicsTo me sounds like they have poured alot of heart and soul into this system and the promo trailers from e3 i am willing to bet dont do it justice.Xbox can stay on the shelf as far as I am concerned and I am surprised Nintendo is even trying to compete anymore lol.

Well just got back from the midnight showing in my area and i must say I am highly disappointed. I am gonna try to sum this up without ruining the movie for anyone. The speed at which the movie moved was to fast to cover the details as they should of been the gaps of information and how they filled it was mediocre at best. Now mind you I am a huge Star Wars fan but this was a real let down and I let myself get built up for it which was my fault to begin with I should of known better from his last performances he put out.I hope that many aren't in agreement with me but I feel he really let his followers down. With such a poor setup as i said in my opinion.Feel free to flame away and maybe after more have seen it we can get into discussions on finer points of who what where why how etc and why i draw the conclusion i do.

Guild Wars is not free you have to at least buy the first initial installation of the game.I don't like it...the idea is bold and innovative but once again the end content of the game is PvP (player vs. player) Not to mention the streaming game data idea is nice for low populated games once you get hammered get ready for up to 5 mins + loading times and since there is no monthly fee get ready to pay 30 dollars + every 2 months to get additional content so they can keep the servers up and running instead of charging the say 15.00 dollars a month for a subscription to the game with constant content updates and additions like WoW they will just nail you for expansions every 1-2 mths to make up for it.In my opinion it is not worth it to get nailed paying for more content every 1-2mths then paying an actual fee for server maintnence and such and just get the content thrown in with it.

I respect your opinion on gaming and hence that is why we are the human race and allowed to have opinions. But I have to say I myself would rather do something with a game on the pc/ps2/xbox and or any other system because 99% of the time it is more stimulating then the crap they put on the babysitter now a days aka the television. The MMO's out there for PC's encourage interaction with out human beings and stimulate the mind and make you think about your actions as far as building a strategy. Some of the pc games like RTS's and such do the same. The web games from various sites may not encourage as much along those lines but are nice time killers while say chatting with friends on various messengers.I myself also have a life and play 3 different MMO's and looking forward to adding a 4th to the list when the release of dungeons and dragons online is released. To go out and deal with the public anymore is almost more of a pain then it is worth being that the population is becoming more increasingly overwhelmed with stupidity which irritates me to no end.Again though I find successful mind stimulation and social interaction with many people in the MMO's kind of fulfilling to an extent granted it isn't a physical interaction of flesh to flesh / face to face type of thing but it still creates an interaction that is beyond being ignored.Hope you can sometime find a way to change your views but again your entitled to your opinion.

I hear ya I used to use MS word for one thing setting up tables to do my timesheet for the week. Microsoft seems to be in the habit of releasing bugged software of course whats new look at windows lol. There is an alternative if you choose to use it which is Open Office located at http://www.openoffice.org/ Free opensource and compatible with .doc's maybe something to look into i have long since switched to this to rid my system of as much MS materials besides the os itself. Hope it all works out for ya in the end and in the future.

The Realease Of Ff12 if you wnat to talk about it just come on in
Trystim replied to Megaman's topic in Computer Gaming
I am a huge FF fan have played and beat each one of them. I just hopethey don't revert to the same type of story line they had in FFX-2 I am not sexist in any way but the fact that you didn't get to play a guy character at all throughout the whole game was kind of dissapointing. And as it has been stated add a minimum of 3 mths to the release dates that they say it seems to be a recurring habit of theirs now adays but trust in knowing that we will have it. -
ok it is back up and running feel free to check it out and see what you think the link is in the above post.

Ok i am checkint it out now and appreciate the quick response. I am waiting for reinstatement of site the link will be http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ maybe you can give some input or what not hoping to be able to upload before bed lol

Ok who all here is looking forward to Dungeons and Dragons online? I know for one I am and can't wait I applied for the alpha and beta signup and hope i get an invite to download and test. I look forward to playing a game where the development team is comprised of people who have played the original idea of what they are trying to advance. Those of you who have not heard or seen about this let me be the first then to introduce you to. Dungeons & Dragons I have signed up at their forums as the name trystim and keeping a track on how things are progressing the screenshots look awesome and the developers if you read the bio's sound pretty intrigued and impressive themselves. So hats off to them for bringing something alot of us probably grew up on to modern age of computers and lets hope they can bring out a great product for us.

I know there are a bunch of cms's out there such as zentri, mambo etc etc. What I am asking is how to code out your own CMS to fit into a layout that you have designed yourself. For example right now I am working on a layout I have the layout completed with what I want it to look like.lets say at the top as normal there is a banner showing the site you have came to visit. On the left hand side of the page is a Main Site Navigation section and under that is Affiliates/links to outside sites. From the center of the page and to the right of it is the view of the link you clicked from the main navigation section. At the bottom is 3 smaller boxes with shall we say for example News for the site, Hits/Visits and Maybe the copyright in the far right bottom.Hopefully enough detail has been given to where you can grasp a layout in your mind now. If not once i get positive credits again I will upload it.Now How would I go about keeping the news section updated without installing Mambo or any of those others. I want to keep my layout that i have redesigned to my specifications. I looked at mambo and such but none of them actually give me the ability to use my own layout physically. If anyone is willing to help in this matter and you need access to my site I will gladly set you up an account to log in and such just pm me or send me an email hjscholl@gmail.com I have no quams what-so-ever if someone is willing to help code a backend for the site I guess you could say. Any links you could provide me with being able to do this on my own is also a help. I have tried different things...and unfortunately haven't yet been able to figure out how to use an IFrame effectively. I know everyone here well not everyone but a good portion of the members here are far more backend coding experienced then I am and I am always willing to listen and learn what someone wants to tell me as long as it is intelligible and not directed with a pompous attitude like i get from other people that I have asked about this type of stuff before.I look forward to talking to anyone and everyone who is willing to give me some help. I also have MSN messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and ICQ via Trillian of which i will give truly interested people who contact me the information for any/all of those to talk with me outside of the site here.Again Thank you all from a humbled web/graphic designer in the making.Trystim.

P&P rpg's have always been a favorite of mine from D&D to Gurps and Vampire the Masquerade. I have never really had a problem with the "guidelines" they layout as in an RPG for pencil and paper the ruleset is always just a guideline not a definitive have to do it this way or else. I think that is one of the reasons D&D caught on so easily was the guidlines that were suggested but not necassary as you could reconfigure it to your playing style and things such as that.Anytime something is set in stone as in has to be done this or that it has a tendancy to not go off big with people because they then can't really modify for them and their friends playing styles. If you go with direct guideline that has to be followed give thorough reasons and explanations / examples as to why.Otherwise show the usage you had while developing it and give an example in the manual. Make sure the classes, skills/abilities/feats whatever you called them are easily understandable so that someone who seems to lack common sense can grasp what needs/is done to achieve these. If you want, I will gladly proofread it from the aspect of a long time running P&P rpg player and dm. Let me know via pm on the board here or in email trystim@gmail.com and make sure to make the subject something noticable to avoid deletion lol.Good luck hope to hear about it soon.

Well I play multiple MMO's1) Everquest, I have been involved with this since about a month after release tons of fun and great to play as a classic.2) Everquest 2, refer to above except i was involved with this in beta other then needing a high end system to play it another great game.3) Star Wars Galaxie, another SOE title that is quickly going to hell in a hand basket, they have basically shot this game and resurrected to just shoot it and leave it for dead this time around they have die hard star wars fans leaving the game who swore they would stick with it till the end. of course this could be the end that is coming lol.4) World Of Warcraft, Blizzards first MMO and a great success not to mention if you do a little search you can find emulators and servers supporting it as well as places to download the software and play on them. I myself play on the official Blizzard servers and it is a blast, kind of a half way point with everquest and everquest 2 but definately not the same plot/storylines lol. Out of all them even being a die hard SOE fan WoW takes the cake atm in my opinion. There are others lineage 2, knight online, guild wars, and such but none of them caught and held my interest. I am looking forward to DDO and as well MEO (middle earth online) if it ever gets off the ground that is.Hope this helps you in some way enjoy.
