  1. People don't just brand them King of the Web for nothing pal, these guys have it all figured out!I remember once when I typed two different urls that had something to do with Google but still landed on the same site! That was remarkable and I think its nothing bad, it shows proactive these guys are and how serious they take their business. You might say they're scared if losing ad revenue, but so what, it's their main line of business...I would be disappointed if they let other companies and businesses space to challenge them. That's how business is man...if Google was mine, I'd own something close to 5k! lolCheers.

  2. Well, let me add mine too! -About 5 months ago, around November I was just killing time, chatting to random people on this other chat site when I bumped into someone, real special and it happened without me knowing lol. The site is very small but its getting popular by the day. It doesn't show anything and people just go there to chat with a random stranger. After failing to strike convo with about ten people, I was fed up and was just about to jump off when I met the girl who's my current gf.We had an amazing chat and right off the bat, we connected. I had never felt like that in my entire life!! You know finally find someone who you can truly talk to and she hollers back in the same breath, you forget all about distance. i was too overjoyed and the next day I proposed. She was shocked herself but I maintained I meant it even though at the time I didn't really and we started dating. It was wonderful, awesome for the first few months before her parents discovered she was having an e-relationship and crushed the party. Now it's like 2 years since the parents intervened but now we're dating again!! we met last year and one thing led to another...now we got two cute babies but we aint married because she has to finish school and I'm staying far from home right now.Internet is all about meeting people and how the relationships end, is your decision. I'm happy to have met this baby and hopefully, we'll spend the rest of our days together.

  3. hi guys,I have read on innumerable sites that Python is better than Java but I have my questions that hopefully you may answer.I'm an aspiring web developer and for the past two years, I've tried my best to learn PHP and MySQl with some small success if i'm to be honest. I designed a small modification for Simple Machines Forums and that's as far as I got with PHP. I was part of a project to make a cool portal software for SMF but ended up jumping ship because the guys responsible for SMF were arguing a lot and a many coders switched to IPB development. So I chose to develop modules for Drupal and i'm currently learning how to on my own. My experience with Java is limited. I decided to learn it because I heard about how it can run on different platforms, etc etc and I thought to myself, If I can learn such a strict language, PHP and all the others will be a breeze. But writing Java code is more or less a cumbersome process. recently I downloaded Linux and now i'm migrating from Windows because well, Open source rocks so I was wondering if I should start learning Python? I want to develop for Drupal and create awesome modules + sites but I also want to move to phone apps in the next two years or so.What's the best bet here and can Python be used on mobile phones as well? what's applied across many systems, python or Java? One last question, is Java open-source...I have always wondered...Hope you can help!

  4. I installed GIMP and Adobe Photoshop on my system but both are not really helping me much, maybe that's because i'm more of a coder than a graphics designer.I have used macromedia fireworks and it worked bloody marvelous for me, shame Adobe gobbled Macromedia and stole my baby product lol.I'd recommend GIMP, primarily because it comes pre-installed in linux!! Anything Open-source rocks!!

  5. I haven't used social bookmarking for long but I'd like to believe that Facebook would bring the best results for anyone seriously social bookmarking!I came across some guys who're using just Facebook and Twitter to market for services and they seem to be doing quite some good work. Things are definitely working for them and they have made close to US$10,000 in total. They combine their services with sms as well and are making a good name of their company.SO I think if you combine some of the more popular social networking sites, you're on your way to enjoying a good level of success :)

  6. Everytime I see topics like this I'm mildly fascinated.I'm a guy who started web design by using Joomla and drupal so I'm used to writing themes and modules than starting a site from scratch. Well for code writing I use, Notepad++. I once used Dreamweaver back in the when it was still called Macromedia Dreamweaver and I absolutely loved it! it was a fantastic tool and I liked doing the tutorials, etc, they really got me started. Macromedia fireworks was one heck of a graphics software too and together, I put up my first site before migrating to coding and stopping there with the IDEs.I'd recommend Notepad++ to all web designers...it's a good software for code writing.

  7. Wow, things are moving at a very rapid pace, these days folks!! Zetabytes!! wow! I think all this just goes to prove some law I heard recently (probably termed Moore's law or something...yikes, I should pay more attention in class :) ). The guy said that tech power will always increase 2x fold year after year and here I'm thinking, its probably moved faster than he even anticipated!!We've certainly moved faster from terabyte to petabyte than we did from megabyte to gigabyte!! And then from petabyte to Zettabyte...it's so flipping awesome!!We're already there when petabyte aint been given light of the day yet, wow...tech stuff is fascination nowadays!!

  8. Hehe!I was shocked too when I came here this morning!! I logged on expecting the usual but alas, I saw the default ipb theme! My first thinking was that the board was going through a major overhaul or something like that, and I'm still believing they'll change this theme to something catchy in the next few days.No offence, none at all meant, but this theme is every where now. Knowlegdesutra definitely will dish out a surprise guys...well, for starters it's now a bit diffcult to navigate, the list of forums looks really long plus the descriptions are quite expanded too. Maybe it's just me...I probably hate change without knowing it!!Well done to the team on migrating to the latest version of IPB and I absolutely love the fast reply facility now...it's real cute!!

  9. I don't see much wrong in what you did but I picked on something minor...

    $sql="INSERT INTO account (Accounts, Password)VALUES('$entry', '$password')
    this is supposed to be
    $sql="INSERT INTO account (Accounts, Password)VALUES('$entry', '$password')";

See if it runs and let us know here.

    All the best man

  10. In my sight I think its all good. I lik bisexual girls who are kinky and willing to have threesomes and all that but not the kind who have relationships with another girl behind the boyfriends back.
I have nothing against gay people but they need to understand that we are a generation who arent exactly comfortable to the max with homosexuals because most of them only really came out the closet recently so while I love all humans the same and have no problems with gays or lesbos i do do have a problem with homosexuals who invade my space and are tooo touchy feeling for my liking.

I dont mind friends who are homosexual but I dont really like the rubbing and touching that they sometimes over exert on us and we then have to shut the f*ck up and take it otherwise we get called *person* phobic.

I prefer if we were all try-sexual as in can try anything sexual

for the record, I do not second that opinion AT ALL but its not wrong.

Growing up, I used to be so pig-headed and oppose anything that I didn't agree with and got lost in thinking that it should become law. Now i'm all grown up and i think anyone should be allowed to do as he wishes.

I might not agree with what you have to say, but i will fight for your rights to say it. That is how people should see the world now. I think we have made great strides as a people that we have to recognize we're different and what's meat for one guy, can actually be poison for another.

i think gay people should be allowed to come out in the open and do as they wish. They're adults and if that decisions is wrong then let em face the consequences. We're all different.

I think what is wrong is people either force one to do something or doing something evil to other people. If I choose to wear a blue tie, its my choice...but if I choose to walk out naked...it's also my choice BUT its offensive to other people and for the general good, such behaviour or actions has to be condoned.

The only issue that has to be debatable is adopting a kid...that now is a bit of a topic if you ask me.

  11. Paha and what about bikes!
    Erm carsss...

    - Lotus Exige, a hard topped version of your elise
    - Ariel Atom, for the fun of it
and in terms of a car for actual use lol
    - Something more like a VW Golf...

OH but totally my first cars gonna be these beasts, a classic MINI:

And yes I intend to do 'work' on it too

We're together on getting a simple car man!

Only that I would want an RVR (which I'm getting at the end of the year!)

  12. lol

Does a sword make us weaker? The caveman who wrestled and pushed a deer down a cliff just to earn his living, was probably a lot stronger than a Samurai. Does a gun make us weaker? The Samurai, who's strength relies in swift and powerful strikes, is probably a lot stronger than a Sniper sitting up in a building, holding his breath and waiting to pull the trigger. But the weapons aren't to blame. A weapon is a tool. A tool is something that makes the general procedure of any given aspect more efficient, hopefully. How this greater efficiency affects the people/things involved in the process, can not be blamed on the tool itself. In this case, the internet gives us a generously easier way to communicate with an infinite amount of people. Sure, the presence of something like this makes the average Joe Bloggs want to stay at home and chat/game, where he could otherwise be outdoors Trick-Or-Treating. That isn't the inter-net's fault of course, it's Joe Bloggs who is unable to find the right balance between outdoors and indoors life, that is to blame. Same thing with most technology, they are made to benefit us, but when we grow slothful in the presence of these tools, we are to blame for being too darned lazy!

    No it doesn't lol!!

Technology is actually bringing people much closer these days..

Look around you pal, cellphones, the internet...etc etc...tv channels,

The list is endless...depends on the person and how much they want to be involved with others, period.

  13. Just sitting here listening to music and thinking about the world. One thing that has been on my mind lately is patience, a dying virtue for sure. I can't help but look at the differences between generations before us and the children of this generation and notice the crazy difference. It makes me wonder at what point will it be too much?
Think about it. I just saw on Digg that Disney is testing out a new way to have people wait to go on rides. Instead of waiting in line, they go inside these air conditioned tents to play games and whatnot until their turn comes around. Sounds fun, but what are we losing? I know I'm sounding like a ranting old man here, but I remember going to theme parks and waiting in line. I remember the build up of excitement and nervousness as we got closer to the front. Especially for the more hyped scary rides, it seemed like you started outside and then went inside where it got darker and darker. Music would play. You were entering the world of the ride and immersed in it because, well, you had no where else to go. After spending a long time in this atmosphere, it was like the ride was the grand climax of the whole story.

And what about car trips? DVD players to keep kids occupied in the back seat. Why? I remember driving with my family to Ocean City, MD as a kid. It was about 6 hours I think. Boy it was grueling. Our entertainment consisted of sleeping, answering questions off some trivia cards my mom loved, or playing Gameboy. This was the original Gameboy and all we had was Centipede and Bugs Bunnies Crazy Castle. Hardly the hand held entertainment of today. At one point I did have a cassette player, but unless I had a friend to make me a mixtape, any given tape only had about 3-4 songs I liked. Now it's like the children are immersed in a world of endless entertainment to the point where when you finally arrive at the beach, once again, it loses it's appeal.

And what about music? I remember desperately listening to the radio hoping my favorite song would come on. Now, there isn't a time where I don't have immediate access to my favorite song as well as thousands of others. With this constant stream of entertainment assaulting our minds (especially young kids) no wonder everybody seems to be diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. I think it's time we really take a hard look at ourselves and realize it's time to unplug.

This is my input. Now what do you think? Agree? Disagree? I put this in the debate forum..so fight me lol

I agree, people are no longer patient these days.

I live in a very quiet and peaceful place but people just want to speed and get wherever they're going without a flippin care in the world. Already this year, the death toll from accidents is past last year's!! lol

I think technology really has a lot to do with it. Today how many of us demand more bandwidth or just switch off our computers if they freeze 'for too long'?? Technology has improved a millionfold and people are merely adjusting. There is so much to do right now that its time wasted when you wait for something to finish.

Its like everyone is in a race and our productivity levels in the history of the human race are at the peakest so I think its very good for people not to contend with stuff that may be boring, etc etc.

yes to the extinction of patience...!!

  14. the only sure way to earn money folks is to start your own site with a very unique idea, get to work and cross your fingerS!All these zany ideas that keep cropping up on the web don't really work imo. unless if its google adwords, other get rich quick schemes are all fake ways or in other words, worse that lottery.People should stop spreading word about services such as these that actually get rid of prospects clients...you'll end up losing business guys!!

  15. When bored I play Chess or watch cricket.I'm one of the weird types of people, I rarely feel depressed lol. I'm sometimes in the dumps but one way or the other I find a way to get myself out and enjoy life.I was reading a book once that recommended some deep-breathing and putting on a big smile to feel better when feeling blue and eversince I started, I think it has helped me loads! When I wake up and start feeling bad...i just know improving, or should I say paying attention to my body language helps me in a big way.For all those who feel depressed from time to time, i'd recommend getting a hobby and doing the thing that you like when you're feeling a bit down. It has worked for me in the past and one other thing...you have to force yourself no matter what!! It will be worth in in the end!!

  16. Well just yesterday I was having a convo with my cousin and the guy couldn't say any one of his hobbies...my conclusion was that he doesn't have!! lolAnyways, My hobbies are many: coding, formula one, cricket, RUGBY, american football and listening to great podcasts!!that's all! hehe

  17. I don't think anyone can say with absolute certainty whether aliens exist or not.Firstly, its possible that there is life somewhere in our mega-huge and voluptuous galaxy...you have to understand how bit this universe really is...its freaking huge guys so there may be life elsewhere.BUt lets not get caught up in thinking that there may be humans just like us somewhere and one day will discover the tech or whatever they may call it and come here. that's not likely to happen. If any living organism makes it here, it will be more powerful and advanced in thinking way better than us and I don't think it would even consider waging a war against us. never!I do hope aliens exist though...I'm all for a little fun and anything scientific tickles me! lol

  18. I thought i'd add my own five cents to this discussion!let me advise all you guys to move to Linux Ubuntu!!I have used Windows Vista then 7 but none of that crappy software comes close to Linux!! it's so stable and easy to use, especially for someone who's always connected to the internet...it makes perfect sense to move open source because most of the plugins are available to make sure your transition from windows to linux is smooth and successful!!I hope you consider using Linux guys...seriously...it never crashes, and you can boot it from a 2gb flash-disk!!! Can you beat that!!

  19. I was once a member of this forum when it was still Xisto and anwii had only 100 posts more than me! lol..Now I come back to hear he's a mod!! CONGRATS MAN!!We had our run-ins more often than I'd feel free to say here, but overally, the guy is a bot!! He posts day and night and since being knighted...he's now much friendlier in my opinion!!Keep up the good work, man!!!
