Whats Going On Here? The forum says welcome to trap17 and..

Okay there's a few things I don't get here. I know this is the astahot forum, right? Well where it says my hosting credits this is what the forum says:

 

"Welcome to Xisto,Ignore the above Hosting Credit System if you are not interested in the Free Web Hosting service offered by our site."

 

?

 

Also, I recently checked the Xisto website and I've noticed that it now says it is offering "Free Web Hosting" instead of the previous "Free Web Space". Why has this happened and does in mean I can't upload anything to any site whichever I use?

Uhm for me it reads Welcome to Xisto. So you were probably looking at the Xisto forum. I don't know where you got that.

Uhm... Xisto and Xisto have always been WEBHOSTS, neither just hands out space to everyone. And what do you mean with "whichever I use".
If you are hosted on Xisto, then yes you can upload there, same goes if you are hosted on Xisto. But now my question? If this is a trap question, why didn't you post it there? And with "whichever" I understand you or are trying to get hosted on both, or are hosted on both. Whichever one it is.. it won't work

Ok I'm going to clarify here. I am on the Xisto forums, am I correct? I know I signed up with Xisto, that is a definite fact. BUT... it says I'm on Xisto, which I know I'm not!!! And I have a copy of an old version of the Xisto home page that says they were offering "Free Web Space", so how could they have always been webhosts?

I don't know anything about there history, but when I registerd here and logged in, I also got the message, welcome to Xisto, but that's not a problem, í'm posting on Xisto and have host form Xisto

I personally think that it is something to do with the new skin. Since it was changed, it appears all the most recent members have this problem.And no, I'm only with Xisto, not with Xisto, to clear any lingering conspiracies.

Sorry for the lingering conspiracies thing, but it happens often here, so we do the test Anyhow, could you do me a favor and take a screenshot of how the forum looks on your end, cuz on mine it reads Xisto. When I have that, I know exactly where to look and I'll do my personal best to figure it out and hopefully fix it (or let OpaQue know where the error is)

This is very funny - something's going wrong somewhere for sure, but even in my browser I never get that problem. If you of you see this again, will you be kind enough to take a screenshot and save that web-page (html code) and send it to us ?That'll be really helpful. Thanks.Regards,m^e

I wasn't worrying about it, just saying in case people thought I was faking the screenshot.

I think that I know the problem here.When you log on, a lot of the help links re-direct you to the Trap 17 sites.And Free Web Space, and Free Web Hosing, are virtually the same, they probably just edited the site to make it look slightly nicer and more user-friendly.

It's the same company, different forums, same request generator.

The same script we use at Xisto is used here as well but the script never got updated with the Xisto name instead of Xisto!vujsa

yeah through the entire setup process you get alot o Xisto.com stuff in all the forms, nothing to worry about, as long as your browser says Xisto.com/********* ur good. And yeah i get the welcome to Xisto message also.
