Loyalty a personal layout from SecretBox

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I've just finished my first free, personal template and thought that I would post a sample of it for you all to see. This specific design is dedicated to my long-time friend Ebby (my dog) who had to be put to sleep because of a unknown skin disease that was slowly killing her.

She was the best dog I have ever known and loved. I will always remember and miss her. This is my way of giving her something, even if she cannot enjoy it herself.

here it is:

That is a very good layout, very proffesional and clean, I like the way it looks. It's a good way a making a tribute to a lost pet, it's terrible that happened to your pet, I had a two cats long ago who both died of a cat form of Lukemia that was in the house, the first was put to sleep, after it died we had the house thouroughly cleaned and got another cat a year later, but the Lukemia was still there I guess, and we found the second laying in the kitchen nearly dead, we tried to give him water though an eye-dropper on the way to the vet, but he died when we where pulling into the parking lot.

First; thanks for all the replies and the comments on my new template. I will shortly have it available from my site. I'm still working on the scripting part of it at the moment. Then I will be adding it to my website so others can get it for their use. It is very sad when a pet dies, especially from an illness that could be prevented if people would start looking more into cures for pet diseases like they do human diseases. As for my dog, Ebbie. The illness she had we couldn't figure out if it was genetic or if she contracted it somehow, simply because the vet had no idea what it was she had in the first place. The details of the disease are a bit on the graphic side, so I wont really go into it. But she apparently was dealing with this disease for the better part of a year and we had no clue. It didn't show any symptoms and she didn't seem to be too bothered by it. When she did start showing signs of being sick, the disease was spread to far to have been able to stop, even if we knew what it was. The vet's guess as to what it was, was that it was some sort of skin cancer or skin eating bacteria. He couldn't precisely figure it out. When he put her down, he logged it as a mystery illness with no known cure or treatment.

Alright all, I've uploaded this template for a trial & error testing period and I would like some input on the live version of this template and how the scripting responds to different browsers, as I only work with IE and Mozilla Firefox... Just remember that the page this is located on is still under construction and a lot of the links still do not work yet.

Please, visit:

This Page

For the Trial & Error test page for this template and give me feedback on how the template looks within your browser.

Thanks in advance...

Nice layout. It has a beginners look, but it's still very usable and attractive... It loads a bit slow, but that's not important cos it's not a pro site for lot's of coustomers... Everything else looks ok, you might maybe disallow resize of that window because it's ugly when page have that nice background (if it's resized then..) have white space around - that happens only in Firefox. Btw. Im using InternetEx. and it looks ok. Keep up good work on these layouts...
