Need Help Redesigning Templates

ok, i just bought a professtional pre-designed template for a web site i plann to put up. The problem im having is how to edit the text and graphics. THey gave me a photopshop file and html file. I edited the photosop file using photosop 7.0, saved the file, but the html version wont change, can any body help me solve this problem?** NEWBIE

I think you have to save the file with HTML output to re-create the template again with the edited bits. I am assuming that you have or they have sliced the photoshop image already, slices define the table, rows and columns. if you go to File | Save for web - click Save and select .html from the dropdown menu this should re-create your template for you.

Ain't the smartest in the world but if you could let us know what program you are ueing and if there is a trial version it would help others here to help you!

why wouldn't telling him stuff not help him? he wanted to know how to update the html file after he edited the psd, which i told him how to do, he didn't ask for help editing the photoshop file he just wanted to know how to change the html template.

lol. i didn't mean to sound rude at all. its just i answered his question to the best of my knowledge and based on what he wanted to help with. but all we can do is "tell him stuff". :D

haha no problem you didn't sound rude at all, just questions s'all goodanyways I'm thinking he just didn't slice it afterwards... thus his just using the same files, bascially his gonna have to edit and then reslice for it all to work =P

what i need to do with this is figure out how to fix the graphics, and change some texts and i need to change where its says company name and logo to my own groupthanks

Now you are making it available on a FREE WEB HOSTING site... not to say the morals of the people on this site but someone is bound to rip it off... and that money spent will have been for naught jesusanyways, I grabbed it already just umm be smarter next timeand no I won't actually steal your template, sent me a PM with whatever you want to change for the template and I'll do it and mail you the stuff through email
