Virtual storefronts are being put up to provide services 24 hours a day and seven days a week, ensuring a considerable increase in profit for the company.

well internet is a huge advertising medium, you can virtually sit in middle of nowhere and connect with people across the globe, its quick fast and efficient with low cost. its alot cheaper than advertising on tv plus you will be advertising to million even billions of people. so its a very easy way of advertising for many companies plus the advertisment could also become interactive making it more interesting. when you purchase a product on net its usually cheaper because it removes the middle man usually the store selling the product this allows direct contact with the consumer. there are many other reasons aswell but it would get too long...

A business card only has room for a few lines. If one of those lines is a URL, that gives the company an opportunity to tell their whole story--in style--better than a flyer.
