Hdd needs passwordHow To Erase Dell Inspiron Hard-drive Password

Hi, I have a Dell Latitude D600. I have not used it for a long time. But now when I try to use it, upon boot up a gray screen says type in hard-drive password. I do not know why this is accuring.
