How To Create A Popup Window With Javascript?

Please, I need help , can any one help with useful resources on how to make this popup . I have been searching the internet for the solution bu cannot get any useful help. Please can anyone help. This is what I want to achieve, the sample is on the home page of this PFA site on default or index page:http://www.armpension.com/

This div floats from the left side of the window and when click on the close X symbol the div floats to left side .Please help.
