Factory settingsHow To Erase Dell Inspiron Hard-drive Password

I also have the dell inspiron 1545 and had gotten attacked by a virus. When I fixed it I found one of the viruses wouldnt remove. Which was in my laptop prior to when I gotten it from the previous owner. So I have to restore it to its factory setings but I'm having so much trouble doing so. I press the f8 to get to the "other user screen" to start the process, however the pw and user I type in are wrong. I cant get through by any means. So if any of you know a good or faster way help me out! service tag # G97F9H1
