karlo 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 kNews is a news script. Example, you made something or there is something new in your website. Use kNews to let visitors know what's new on your site. http://www.karlo.ph.tc/ for a live demonstration.
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 Anyways, I'm re-coding my boards. Those are horrible, and I'm making great progress on the new ones. Karlo, I coded my own shoutbox thing too. It's not as good as yours, but it has everything you really need. Administrative purge function, basic shout function, last 100 shouts function, and your last 5 shouts function. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ You have to login first though... Also, for a news script, it's really only like 3 or 4 lines of simple code.
Odyssey 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2005 Not a bad messare board, congradulations, you dig a great job!I think it could use a different colour scheme though! Is this all PHP, or are you using a SQL database also?
Mike 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 PHP in the files, SQL database to hold the users, topics, messages, boards, etc.

And, it also lists the posts, so you can Edit/Delete it in the Admin area. You don't have to go to the PHPMyAdmin. On the Sub-Zero boards, there's no style:
Mike 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2005 Nah, karlo. There is a style. It runs on the boards' CSS. You just haven't changed your theme yet. To do so, copy and paste this into your browser: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ You have to be logged in (duh) to change your theme though. And there is an admin area, but you're not an admin, so you can't see it. Basically just a purge posts thing and delete system.
