Replace telephone Line with WI MAXSetting Up Wireless Internet For Mac Os

I have an equipment which connects to its Remotely placed control unit using permanent telephone  line modems (V .23). I would like replace line  with  Wi MAX. Suggest possible solution with appropriate hardware.
