Wifi Woes!!!How To Connect Computers In A Wi-fi Network

so my problem is this, there are 3 pc's1,2&3.

1 is connected to the router via network cable.

2&3 are connected to the router via wireless cards.

I want to create an ad hoc connection between 2 and 3, but 3 will not pick up the connection,

and yes I know how to create an ad hoc connection, it's just that my connection to the router is broken when I connect 2 and 3 directly with one another through ad hoc... 

how can I connect to pc 3 as well as keep my connection to the router going?
