Since upgrading to Internet Explorer 8 the application icons in the taskbar are sometimes replaced with blank (white) spaces the same shape as icon. This does not always happen and not all the icons are affected, usually it is MS Word and Excel icons. Sometimes the icons reappear if the application is closed and opened again icons, sometimes it takes a reboot. What causes this and is there a cure?-question by Gerry
