URL Redirection and using .htaccess file Url Redirection/rewrite Using Htaccess

Hi,

I am very new to this.I need to remove an entire site and redirect its contents to another site.This has been done by URL redirection.The DNS entry of previous site has been removed and now its ip is smae as of the second website.Can you please tell me how .Htaccess will help in this or what code should I use to make it successfully happen.
