swelling area by jaw and earI Need Some Help(medical)

I have noticed about a week now swelling by my left jaw right below my ear. Now it feels numb like someone put anesthetic in it. I am starting worry and tomorrow I will be going to the doctor. I was thinking probably it's an ear infection but not sure now so getting a little worried. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this is. Thanks
