What Is Vps? VPS hosting service

Hello Friends,I want to know about the VPS hosting service and there advantage and disadvantage. Is there any online tutorials available to learn about web hosting?Please help...

Just to tell something: VPS stands for Virtual private server, so usually you get full control over the server and control it, on the dedicated server you can control DNS services and much more services by yourself, in fact you can install, run your own software/applications on it and give permissions, it's not as if you have a hosting account at some server where you have limited access and permissions.
