Need Help To Make RPGHelp Creating A Browser-based Rpg

I really want to make a computer rpg with php, but am totally clueless on what to do. If I try to get a book, might they be at the library? anyway, I play a game called kingdom of loathing(please google it) but I want to make a game with that setup but my own images. Look at the game and tell me how to make one like it. Thx!
