DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive Help: Not Reading DVDs

Have two acer aspire 3630 laptops both with winxp pro and a combo drive. When I insert a DVD in the drive, it will display an empty windows explorer. Then when I try to burn a vcd or any other compatible file using any burning software it will show it has successfully but when you open the CD it will also be emptyKeywords: my combo drive DVD/CD-rw but cannot read DVDsKeywords:
