If I switched to another resolution. It is fine. But once back, it lower the color to 256.
Entheone 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2008 I once had this problem, but it happened for different reasons. Here's how I got around it... On your desktop, right-click and choose Properties. Go to the Settings tab. Change your Screen resolution to the lowest resolution it can get (it's 800 by 600 pixels for me, but it might be 640 by 480 pixels for you). And then change your Color quality to the lowest quality it can get as well (16 bit on my computer, but it could be 256 colors on yours). Then click OK to apply these changes and restart your computer. After restarting, set the screen resolution and the color quality to their original values. Things should get back to normal. To be honest, I remember reading that there was an easier way to do this, but I can't remember what it is or where I found it. But at least this method worked for me, and will hopefully work for you, too Good luck.
xboxrulz1405241485 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2008 Also, make sure that you installed graphics drivers that support 32-bit colour.xboxrulz
FirefoxRocks 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2008 Also verify that the screen resolution that you are trying to get 32-bit colour on actually supports 32-bit colour. Some screen resolutions can only display 256 colours, while older monitors (from Windows 95/98) can sometimes only display 16 colours at the lowest resolution.
