xboxrulz1405241485 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 No, it will NOT since your machine is way too old. You can get a computer under $500 that can run Vista now-a-days anyways. You need a new machine.xboxrulz
darasen 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2008 Per Microsoft the bare minimum specs for Vista are as follows. * 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor * 512 MB of system memory * 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space * Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory * DVD-ROM drive * Audio Output * Internet access (fees may apply) Bare minimum in Microsoft parlance means that the PC will start, eventually. Realistically Vista will not run with the aforementioned specs.

Atomic0 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 You can of course run the computer under the minimum specification for Microsoft Windows Vista, but it will be very slow and sluggish experience. I suggest you buy a brand new computer as it will run Window Vista way faster than you current one. Also, I do not believe that upgrading you old computer (i.e. only replacing certain components) is a good idea as they are just too old to be useful. You should use a new computer that meets not only the minimum specifications but the recommended specifications for Windows Vista.
