jimmy89 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Hi,When I am using my laptop on battery power (not plugged in) the screen saver loads properly and works fine at the time specified. The Screen will turn off after 5 minutes of no activity. The problem occurs when I have the laptop plugged in and/or charging. The screen saver will not appear. I can make it appear my going to the screen saver properties, but otherwise it won't appear. Also the screen will not turn off after 5 minutes, it just sits there!Thanks-jimmy
HellFire121 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2007 You could check your power settings, i don't have a laptop but i know it can play a part. Should be found in the control panel somewhere. Also check to see if you have any power saving settings enabled if you have any laptop software installed, check your video card drivers to see if it has an auto shutdown of the screen feature etc.It seems like a power saving feature you have turned on to me. Most likely bet will be the power options or laptop control program (if you have it installed).Hope it helps-HellFire

It should be your setting in the Power Option in control panel. When opening it, there's an option to select Power Schemes. If you have software installed, then you should let your software handle the power management. It should allow you to choose your custom setting when you are plug in to power or using battery.Follow the step by step instruction, you should get it done easily.
