Xarex 1 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 Although Linux has accumulated and continues to accumulate millions of fans, it certainly will not take over. I think there is something "family" or "user-friendly" -oriented about Windows computers. The image of Microsoft Windows has been embedded into the mind of many people since the early 90s, maybe even late 80s, and its just hear to stay. I don't think there is anyone who doesn't know what Microsoft is and what it does. Or even has no idea what the Windows format looks like.So Microsoft dominates the minds of people who are looking for a simple and ready-to-go experience. Linux, however, dominates those who like to go beyond this simple experience and are looking for more. I definitely am happy to have crossed over.. and experienced Linux among other OS'.
