dserban 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2007 Me and the author of the article below think that since Alexa requires a toolbar otherwise the traffic is off the radar screen, their rankings are largely irrelevant.https://technosailor.com/2007/04/25/alexas-irrelevance/Debate? develCuy 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2007 (edited) REFLEXIONAlexa is relevant to many people, and is still there because makes its job: money machine. I were a webmaster sick of statistics. Alexa provides a different view of your web traffic. Of course, isn't the same to have 100 visits a day than 100,000.Business men an "PR folks" know why Alexa rocks and how to use that "information". I only have to comply my deadlines and got paid :DIN THE PRACTICEMany folks argued that Alexa rocks because the wonderful "AJAX graph" and the parse "0.000000000025% of the Internet traffic said my site rocks"(pathetic!!!), and you are able to post a "brief comment of the site". If they cut the statistics for only the first 100,000 top sites, then Alexa rocks for they, not for me. Blessings!!!
