swizzeron 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 you can get yahoo mail beta which is currently only valid for yahoo UK and ireland in any country. but its slow but very attractive and smooth1. Log in to your Yahoo Mail account2. On the top left, besides “mail” button, there is one down arrow, click there..3. Go to “option”4. On the left panel, click on account information…5. Click on “edit” under membership information6. In the last panel..u will find “yahoo content”, which would be something like, U.S.-English, or India or something…click on it7. Select “English-United Kingdom”8. Save changes9. Go back to your mail window..10. Now keep this window open, and in a new window, open https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2?&.src=ym&.intl=de, and login…u’ll get an invitation to join “yahoo mail beta version”!!!! changing your country after this makes no difference
Grafitti 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 It's an improvement. but it is too slow to be useful, especially to those who still have a slow internet connection. i think it's alright, but it's a bit late.
vhortex 1 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 the site is an ajax powered one.. that made it slow...i think this is the Yahoo Ajax Kit they are developing..Guess google have made a trend in using Ajax powered browser email client... Thing is.. Gmail version are faster due to lack of focus of complicated graphicswhich yahoo email now is using..--------Errie stuff..When I load a proxy connection and my IP falls into Taiwan.. Yahoo Beta wont load after login..Swaping to any other country solved the problem..
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 I can't try it out since I don't have an active yahoo account now (well I do, but forget the usernames I have) but if its graphically dense at all I see no point to using it. For sites like this they need to learn that simple can be great AND look great. Functionality and design is a nice combination. At least they are trying though, thats nice to know.
