sparx 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 I'm currently using Gmail for domains and it's just great. 2 GB inbox and the ability to use the intuitive GMail interface is very very useful. I also like the fact that users can also use GTalk and Google Calendar as well. It's easy to administer and there are a few customizable interface options, although in truth, I'd prefer more.I especially like the ability to create multiple mailboxes at once by simply uploading a specially designed table containing the relevant details. Saves a huge number of clicks, especially during the early stages of setting up and deploying mailboxes to everyone.
WeaponX 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2006 Nice finding swizzeron :DSigned up for the Gmail one for my domain. Hopefully will get approved. Can users sign up for the email accounts in your site or do you have to manually create a new account for them? How many email accounts do you have Sparx? I didn't want to over-do it and put like 1000 for now...hope it can be increased if needed.

Markymark2 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2006 Wow! I took a look into this and im pretty amazed! Ive just posted in the OS forum about Googles plans but this is another good thing..Gmail for business..now they can capture the business market and if you think bad about Gmail and how Google uses the information it stores..this could be a terrible thing!!Imagine Google could have everything a comapny sends by email to be able to sell on or use for thier own personal gain.....hmmmm scarey?Mark420;))

kaputnik 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2006 Hey - that's really great. I've a personal domain with limited e-mail. My folks have asked me if its possible to sort them out with a web-based e-mail the likes of Gmail and here we are - it's actually possible. I'm thrilled with this discovery. This is why I like Xisto so much - learn something everyday. Will just have to give this a shot right away. What I do notice though is that the feature currently is in Beta. that although not very disturbing is a bit of a worry since I'd indirectly be responsible for other people's e-mail; should this feature suddenly become unavailable or disabled.Right - so I just registered for the service and the response is that they will get back to me if they find my profile suitable for utilization in their test. Keeping my fingers crossed
WeaponX 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2006 (edited) Looks like they don't allow just anyone to sign up right? You have to create the account for the members in your site? That is a long address. Will the email address still be at yourdomain.com?EDIT: Just created an account with Microsoft's Hotmail service. A bit of work but finally got it working and all. I really hate the fact that it requires users to run Internet Explorer in order to use it. Also it's the same thing that sparx said earlier. It's also a long name followed by your domain name. The one for Microsoft is even longer and more confusing than the Gmail one :DWe all love how Gmail was designed...simplicity in mind. I really want to get that account instead if I can.@sparx: How long did it take for you to get approved by Google?
