xboxrulz1405241485 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2007 not necessarily. Facebook shares almost the same amount of traffic and it is built much better than MySpace. We often think that people criticize things because they are popular. It may be true to some things, but then again, if they are truely badly built, then we must criticize it to make it better. Good criticism is always great so that people can improve.xboxrulz
iGuest 3 Report post Posted February 8, 2007 Twiggy, you rock. I started this whole "make my own website" thing because my mom won't let me have a MySpace. I wasn't very pleased about missing out, but now I feel better. See, she freaks out every time there's another story on the news about how yet another girl has gotten raped through MySpace. But apparently, no one she's seen has gotten raped through their own website, so this is perfectly fine (no, I don't understand her reasoning, either). But, yeah, I was kinda bummed when she first denied me a MySpace, because a lot of my friends have them. But apparently, I'm not missing out, right?

You should be happy now =)You are not missing much...or at all.Anyways,Here are my top reasons:PROS:1) It is trendy... =D2) I have friends3) A lot of people are in the network4) Very flexible design...in a way5) MUCH VERY MUCH Faster than FRIENDSTER ( you remember that?)6) The network for Myspace (Backend) is built very good. It scales.CONS:1) Myspace is now like a forum full of bots...you don't know who is real or not.2) CSS Overkill on basically everything..iTS CSS ON TOP OF CSS ON TOP OF CSS.3) I don't want TOM to be my friend.4) Bullentins are like SPAM...5) People are so..... unreal...6) I only have 143 friends... I want more...jkI have more, just don't want to share too much.eFX

iGuest 3 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 Why not give Yuwie a shot? The Top 9 Reasons Why MySpace Sucks  I won't lie, I too use Myspace, but I also enjoy my time on Yuwie as well.  Yuwie is filled with a great team of people and the founder of it all actually listens to what we have to say; and takes it into consideration.  That's more than I can say about most sites who tend to completely ignore their users once they've gained ground in the market and are earning a healthy living.  Unlike many other social sites, Yuwie! is taking a twist on the whole social networking trend and actually sharing a part of its advertising revenue with its users.  Sure its pennies at first, but its still a baby only having a little over 500,000 members compared to the 200 million of Myspace and is likely more money than you'll ever see from Myspace or Facebook alike.  So, why not give Yuwie a shot? It's free to sign up and you might be surprised to find that its not all that different than Myspace or Facebook aside from what I find to be a much more mature and family oriented audience.  Oh, and one more thing, Yuwie, DOES NOT tolerate spam. So, you won't have to worry about being harassed by those pesky porn bots with pictures of half naked girls begging to be your friend or the comment spam bots posing as your buddies rejoicing over how they just won a "$500 Macy's giftcard".  Yuwie pays by Paypal or Check, $5 cashout for Paypal and $25 for a check, and who doesn't use Paypal nowadays? Sure Paypal isn't without it's flaws, but it still commands the lead over being one of the most safest and easiest ways to transfer money online.  Join Yuwie!  -reply by Chad
skedad 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 I don't really think myspace sucks, but like everything else in the world, it gets misused. I signed up, and then I tried to hook my friends up to add them. Then it was fun to see what they were up too seeing that it had been forever since I have talked with them. Ok, cool, so I can keep up with some old friends. And I can follow along their life on their bulletins. And sometimes, I will go around and see who they have on their pages. And man, there are some crazy sites... but if it gets too weird, then there is a Back button! And yes, it seems the longer I am on, the more junk gets added to my inbox. Tom was my friends for about 15 minutes! Then he was gone. The coding is basic, but I guess it's enough to get something off the ground... and it is not my own webpage, because I can put whatever I want on my own webpage. I like that I can link some photos that I have on myspace to my webpage. I usually use the blog to link to new stuff on my site. So, yes, it is a bit ridiculous, but it is all about what it can do for you... and there will always be things that will be annoying about it, and you just get over those imperfections, and add the playlists... at least you can jam to listings of your favorite music as you are deleting annoying friends requests! labstuffs 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2011 Seems myspace is going down siuth very quickly, the announced to lay off 50% staff worldwide, and they lost badly to Facebook. Maybe they would have better life should they remain independantly Once being the top social networking site, MySpace has steadily been losing users in the past couple of years and was recently surpassed by Twitter when it comes to traffic. While we'll see how myspace is going from here!
nirvaman 1 Report post Posted January 24, 2011 I don't agree with this for two reasons:first ; i think that all community websites like myspace ,facebook and so are good sources for traffic , and when you will use them to get traffic your website will go viral , so they are helping us "webmasters"Second : i don't care about ads , since i'm using ads myself and have always been ,actually i'm using another kind of advertisments , but it's the same basics! i'm not gonna complain about something i'm already doing :PRemember Facebook ,Twitter & Myspace ROCKS , all the rest SUCKS
iGuest 3 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 I agreeThe Top 9 Reasons Why MySpace SucksReplying to TwiggyNo offence taken. You have my vote. Myspace has become a train wreck. I put it down to technicality. Fact is ... If I had 12 images on my myspace and I wanted more ... I would hope they add more ... But if I kept waiting, I would have wanted it more, thus being mad, BUT LOVING MYSPACE STILL... Profile layouts were great in the beginning. And sure we saw special layouts on some pages, and wanted more ... But at the same time ... We didn't get it for a while and we still LOVED MYSPACE. Well now you have granted every kids dream and given every feature under the sun ... But what has it done ... It's made the user interface a disaster. Bad coding YES, Bad transition YES... Seriously. Myspace may be a buisness as well as an active website... But change the website ... And you change the product... So yeah, As far as I'm concerned ... Myspace is just garbage. -reply by Chris James Manning
