Another great hardware checker has to be PC Wizard 2006. Its free, nice and quick and it can find anything you need. I can remember the link exactly, but if you search google for it, it will be one of the first few results.Definatly a recommended program!!

You don't need any programs for this, your OS can show you what hardware you have! Nevertheless, programs with that function usually offer benchmarking utilities, which makes them good to use. AIDA32 is very good, but not as good as Everest, which is actually AIDA32's successor. Unfortunatelly, there isn't a free version anymore, only two trial version.
