Jerome1405241526 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2006 hi,i have some problem regarding my 20" imac bluetooth.i bought this mac about a month ago and it is intel type.So what happened is i installed public boot camp beta and also installed windows XP successfully into imac machine.Everything was fine and the driver was function properly except isight and remote. So i have dual os right now and there was certainly no problem with mac side.I have bluetooth wireless keyboard NOT working properly in Windows. But strangely the mouse works in both OS.i think the problem is related to pairing the keyboard. So i reset the keyboard and let windows configure the keyboard and tadaa it works fine except the Eject key function and volume buttons.Ok fine..but when i restart the computer, the configuration again lost and windows unable to pair again and this time mac also need to identify thekeyboard to pair with.can anyone help me please?Starngely the wireless mouse works in both OS no matter i how many times i restart my mac. Both keyboard and mouse are apple bluettoth wireless.I have another question about upcoming windows Vista. Will the windows fully support mac drivers especially bluetooth function? Thanks for reading.. Will windows support Mac Drivers....not bloody likely. Now chances are someone will come along and hack a fix. I'm not too familar with the Mactels yet other than the beta machines I had a year ago to make sure our inhouse stuff would work and code to Universal Binaries. All the software I use on a regular basis is still PPC so I'm not likely switching anytime soon. From experience with most wireless devices over the years...they just don't seem to work as advertised. That's why we still use wired tablets, keyboards, and mouses on most machines still. There could be something wrong with the keyboard, even a bad battery. Are you close enough to the machine or trying to use them from across the room? Range is a factor as well.
Jerome1405241526 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2006 Its not that the OS cant detect the keyboard.when i successfully paired the keyboard with windows XP,the previous configuration with Mac's lost if i restart my computer.Range andbattery is certainly not a problem. The bluetooth driver installed successfully in windows but the problem is still there(windows). No problem with Mac at all.I guess i will go to Mac forum and ask them. Thanks for trying to help anyway
