Windows Acting Weird: Driver Issues driver issues

Recommended Posts

Hello,i really don't know what's happening with my windows system, i know that it was well configured one day and then boom, my built in Ethernet is not showing, not even as unknown hardware, the SATA drive used to show in the task bar as removable drives now they are not, now i don't care for that but the Ethernet is what I'm really concerned about, it's working on Linux normally, and i don't want to reinstall windows coz that's the only solution i know of.. i don't really use windows that much so i dono how to fix stuff.. any help is appreciated thanks.

For the Last Time! If you need help, especially with hardware, we need:OS VersionAnd possibly Computer Specs including but not limited tooHard DrviesMother BoardProcessorGraphics CardSound CardMost recently installed hardware/softwareFrom what you've described already, I can think of at least three possible causes, and only more system information will help narrow it down.~Viz

I agree with xbox, although it seems eally weird that the problem only manifests itself now, but that should solve the problem, althugh you may have to take the ethernet card out and put it back in.~Viz

the ethernet is built in so i can't take it out anyway the drivers are installed, i'll check again maybe a registry crash removed them, but i'm pretty sure they are installed since i used that card once..

[EDIT] hey thanks problem solved now, it probably was a regestry crash, i reinstalled the drivers they are now detected.
