German Investigation center bought it,is name is JUBL (Jülich Blue Gene/L). This little guy can process 46 000 millions calculs/s. its just 15 000 times faster that a comum pc ( our Pc's ). Although the institution to announce the ownership of the more "powerfull" computer of the Europe, this heading is complained for a French organism since December. The Tera-10, property of the Atomic Energy Center (CEA) - France - has a capacity of 50 TFLOPS. The previous "European record" was the "MareNostrum", property of the Barcelona Computer center (40 a thousand million operations). The JUBL constitutes a awsome tool for scientific programs that need high capacity of calculation, it declared a responsible one of the center to the AFP. The equipment can be requested for physicists, chemistries, biologists and investigators in the medicine area, among others specialists. Its applications extend areas to it as the nuclear fusing and aerospace engineering, among others fields. This project was financed in about 90 percent for the German Government. 10 % remains has been supported by the city council of the region where if it points out the center. The cost of this equipment was not published. Currently, the computer most powerful of the world belongs to the University of California.
