Germany Gets Super-computer Ibm

Isn't the fastest of the world, but its one of the most powerfull computers ever. German Investigation center bought it,is name is JUBL (Jülich Blue Gene/L). This little guy can process 46 000 millions calculs/s.

its just 15 000 times faster that a comum pc ( our Pc's ).

 

 

Although the institution to announce the ownership of the more "powerfull" computer of the Europe, this heading is complained for a French organism since December. The Tera-10, property of the Atomic Energy Center (CEA) - France - has a capacity of 50 TFLOPS. By the way, the CEA Tera-10 computer is sold by Bull (not by IBM). And it's a Linux-based system !
