I agree with you, since we (Christians) are His children, and He is our Lord, what gives us the right to blame Him for the punishments he's given us? If we were to keep on doing these wrong deeds while he just sits back and not lead us in the right direction because he can't punish us, then what kind of God would he be? What kind and loving parent does not lead their children to the right path of life without teaching them?

I like the KISS system.  Keep It Super Simple.

There is only one Christian God.

When humans stopped understanding God he gave them Jesus Christ to help them understand again.

If you believe in Christ you are a Christian and your God is the same God as every other Christian's God.
