iGuest 3 Report post Posted July 12, 2010 Computer Froze Nothing works HelpUnfreezing Your ComputerThe computer I am talking about is not the one I am using now. My other computer powers up just fine, but the curser is frozen in the middle of the screen. The mouse does not work, but it is not dead (checked this) Control Alt and Deleate does not work at all. Re booting and unplugging does not solve the problem . When turning the computer off, it shuts down like it would when you properly shut a computer down. When you turn the computer on, it starts up the way it should, icons are all in place and the virus scan works, but the keybord and the mouse do not do anything. It is like something was hung up when the computer was shut down and it is keeping the computer from functioning. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The computer is Windows XP 98.
