Quatrux 4 Report post Posted January 4, 2006 here is what I could find in a little google search Potential designs for holographic storage media consist of holographic disks (Holodisks or HoloCDs) and holographic cubes (Holocubes). One of the limitations is that holographic disks and/or holo-cubes must be accessible to light, but also enduring in construction. When optimized, these media could hold upwards of a terabyte of data. The commercial market for holo-disks and/or holo-cubes could grow to various billion dollars by 2010. here are some url'shttp://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/http://www.qshirts.com/http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/As a matter of fact there are a lot of domains with information starting with holo something dot something http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and etc. better search google, there are lots about it which content almost looks the same. yungblood 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2006 Um, I have been seeing this kind of info for 10+ years. Yea, the technology sounds great if they ever get past the problems. Both technical, and financial. Yea, they have been able to get holo tech to work, but it costs a fortune, and it's still not stable yet. :/ It will be nice to see larger portable storage. So far, the best that's out is BlueRay.-YB
