Quatrux 4 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Today I registered there and posted for some time, i made 10 posts and earned 47 points, but I didn't look in what categories I was posting..as i understand it the max in a day you can get 100 points, so it is 95 posts for a free domain name, but only if you post where posts cost 10 points, well I am not in rush and it is quite nice there. PureHeart 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Are you sure that it would be easy to earn good points within two weeks? I mean, if I have read it right, I can only post about 10 posts every day. So, for two weeks it makes 14x10 = 140. How much do they give points for each post? Is it not 1 point for one post? May be I have to go and read it again. 1064335087 Ha ha, I answer is to cheat. Create another account. Your can post as mary as you want, then transfer the points to your current account. If you make 10posts/day -> 100 points. You can finish the offer in 10 days (1000 points). Then make a domain request.
Quatrux 4 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 Ha, I don't like cheating, but it is a good idea, but what to do if you get caught ? or use a proxy for another account and if you get caught, you can say that he was your friend and wanted a domain too, but after a while he changed his mind and gave away all the points or better a brother, that is why he had the same IP address
Khymnon 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2006 I don't think cheating is a good idea. I know you were joking, PureHeart, but I just thought, well, if someone was actually thinking about cheating the system, well .. Why?I mean, services like HostBidder and Xisto are actually doing us a great favour. Naturally, they occasionally get profit in return, but still, it IS a favour. And in return they don't ask for much. Only a couple of occasinoal posts in a forum where I've found are genuinely nice and easy to talk to.But, moral and ethical considerations aside, it's a LOT of work to maintain two accounts AND make sure you don't get caught. Yeah well, I digress, I know. So I'll shut up ... for now! :-)
Kevin1405241516 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2006 Seems like they went out of business for good... lol.. I was browsing Xisto and came upon this discussion regarding the sudden demise of realwebtalk. The thread can be found here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/31855-topic/ And then I checked up with their site - it just turns up entirely blank. No content. All it has is this 4-5 line of HTML code. <html> <head> <title></title> </head> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> </body> </html> 1064334972 http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ mutch better
Khymnon 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2006 http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ mutch better 1064335702 But, for all practical intents and purposes, uni.cc and other similar services are not free domain name providers; they're domain forwarders. Plus, the thread started to discuss Free Domain Registration ( Against Earned Points ), which leaves services like uni.cc out of scope. Still, thank you for the post. Cheers. mediafork 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2006 I think one of the best, and certainly my favourite is http://www.findingresult.com/?dn=hostbidder.com&pid=9POR3TG0A - free domains, hosting, site designs and more for your points. You only need 950 points for a domain and can get up to 10 points per post, making a maximum of 8 a day hence meaning you can get a domain in just 13 days! How awesome is that?I had a look at ezyrewards and a few others but most of them either look like they would take too long to earn enough points or it simply isn't as well recognised so you don't know if they will stuff you around or not. vujsa 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2006 The url isn't valid. It now displays a page full of ads. I don't see any free hosting. And, the RealWebTalk website is back online. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Yeah, the myshost was destin for failure. They made an atempt at first to mimic Xisto and offer free webhosting for posting but never followed through with their members. Then they tried to do free domains for posting but that also didn't work. They didn't have any content and I personally banned one of their moderators from here because he chose to steal content from here to post there and had a problem posting plagiarized material here. I requested that they remove the content several times but no reply was made. At the end of the day, free hosting for posting is a losing endeveur. Only about 10% of our free hosting cost is paid for with the advertising on the forum and that doesn't include the cost to host the forum! The only reason we have this fantastic service is because the owner of the website is a really good guy and he usually makes enough from the paid hosting to pay for it. Free domains are about the same. They cost a lot less but for it to be profitable, most of our members would have to post hundreds of posts to earn a domain name. This isn't because the domains are expensive, it is just that the advertising income from a single post here is very little. But at $6.95 this month at GoDaddy for .COM's, I think most people can come up with the money. Can't hardly buy lunch for that! vujsa
