How To Make Miranda Im Support Googletalk

GTalk use the open potocol Jabber , therefor we can use other third party software such as Miranda IM.

 

ok, lets start,

first, you need a Jabber plugin for Miranda.

And I assume the you have Miranda IM installed in your system.

Jabber plugin for Miranda can be downloaded in M­iranda-I website

Step two,

GTalk need SSL for connection.

SSL plugin can be downloaded here.

uncompress it to Miranda-IM root folder. please becareful, put it to Miranda-IM root folder, not the plugins folder.

 

 

Then, run your Miranda-im, setting your Jabber:

 

username: enter your Gmail account name, (just the name, "@gmail.com" is not included).

Password: your Gmail password

Resource: don't change it, use the default setting

Login server: gmail.com

port:5223

UseSSL: use this option (the port number will change to 5223 automatically after you tick this).

 

Advance:

Manually specift connection host: tick this

Host:talk.google.com

Port:5223

Automatically delete contacts not in my roster: tick this

 

last step:

click on the onlin...
