needlz - that is on ubuntu - is that a verson of gnome or is e17 another window manager. becasue ive never heard of it. But i really like your desktop. Could you describe how with a bit more detail what is going on? thanks

e17 is a window manager, and it is not GNOME, what's w/ u guys saying that everything is a fork of GNOME, GNOME isn't that great.IMO, I like KDE better.xboxrulz

I've used both Mandrake and Debian and i preffer Debian. I know Mandrake has urpmi but i just love apt-get!As for window managers i'm in love with Gnome. KDE is ok...but i like the feel of Gnome better. Xfce also looks like it has potential but i've heard that setup is a pain.-Ryan
