Is Port 8000 Or Shoutcast Port Blocked? trying to get Nuke-Cast to work

Hey, is port 8000 useable, I am trying to get a module to connect to my shoutcast server, and it soesn't want to work... This is one thing that the programmer told me to find out to figure out why it won't work.....-William
