CSS can really be quite difficult to grasp if you're new to it. (For more than just basic coding, anyway). Read up on CSS first, so you can understand how it's used. Always good to have background knowlegde. The Macromedia website has some good concepts outlined.

An Excellent site for CSS is MSDN. They cover tons of things, and they have a library of properties, selectors, attributes, etc. Very Useful:

For just quick references and tags and stuff. It helps if you atleast have a basic understanding of how CSS is used.
