Noonster22 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2005 I have tried Google Video, and I must say, it has to be in Beta still. I have reasoned this because it is very very unorganised. It reminds me on a Window XP versus a MACOSX duel. When I tried to search up iPod in the text, most of the video links were broken, and some even directed me to obscene content.All-in-All, the video future will never be up to par as the image feature. It is a mere fact.Since because video takes so much more bandwidth and space on the website, website owners tend not to keep the videos on the File Manager for long. It is a system hog, and just isnt worth it. I tend to redirect people to Yahoo Music (Formerly called Launch.com) for music videos. I just dont have the space to host videos! xJedix 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 To me, this looks like it could be a really awsome idea. I had never thought that they would do this.Does anyone know if they are actually going to be hosting the videos for download? or is it just to look at information on the videos. I ask this because it says on their site "Video is currently not available" when I look at the videos.
BigmanB 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 I am a little worried about google video because when hackers find a way into accessing all of the videos (which they will) your private information will be viewed by all. Home videos will be posted on second hand p2p services and the whole world will know your truely private moments in life. All I'm say is just be safe and watch what you want to post on google video, you never know who is watching.
organicbmx 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2005 i used yahoo video search a while ago for a video project and that was absolutly brilliant. i found good, relevant sources with a good connection for download.would google be adapting their image algorythms (sorry no idea on spelling) and therefor making it as good as the google search, could you say the best on the internet? finaldesign1405241487 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2005 It sounds like a good thing, but as someone above said... Probably there will be many mature/pornographic content, but im sure that google will use it's advanced techniques to prevent that. Anyway, google's mission to organize whole world it's true good iniciative...
saxsux 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2005 I've found that the Google Video player doesn't work properly. Most of the time, when I try to play a video the image dissappears and then reappears a second later. I've managed to get video to play only about three times!I think it's going to be a long time before this gets released from beta!
