iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 6, 2009 Life without computersLife Without A ComputerI remember life without computers. Kids used to play outside and they were not obese. My mom didn't use her cell to call our cells if she wanted us home for dinner. She would ring one of those old brass hand bells outside the back door and we'd hear it from down the street. It was fine. We didn't know how much fun we were missing playing all those pc games because we were too busy climbing trees, riding our bikes and playing baseball outside in the fresh air. I can remember we'd have to put the timer on for 3 minutes if we wanted to make a phone call. We'd have to ask if we wanted to watch a TV show, which we wanted to do more often once we got 'color'. Now it's considered a basic necessity to have email, websites and blogs, and to be able to call, text and access anyone and anything at all times. Imagine deliberately leaving the house without a pocket full of technology, for even an entire day.. Just for the challenge! The computer replaced life as we knew it, and there's no turning back. It's claimed an entire generation already. I've decided to limit my time on it and try to get my life back.-reply by ninapaints
