Guitar Connection Guitar info info info

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I notice a common interest in guitar among many members. I am going to post every thing I know about guitar so that maybe someone else can learn more about this instrument and also to help me be a better guitar player. My specialty is slide guitar so I’ll let ya in on some slide pointers.

well its not quite that easy! there are many types of barre chords. the most basic, the "E" form, would consist of this:

1 2 3 4 5 6

----|------------------

----|------------------

----|---|--------------

----|------|-----------

----|------|-----------

----|------------------

assuming each number on top represents a fret number, this chord, on the number 2, would resemble an F# barre chord (the first fret is F, then F#, G, Ab, A, Bb, B, C, Db, D, Eb, E, in that order)

For more info, i strongly recommend About's http://guitar.about.com/

Wow, this is surely going to be an excellent thread! I just bought a rickenbacker 330, my first electric guitar, and can't wait to get going on it. Thanks much, bigredrosen, can't wait to hear all your pointers.
