New Way To Get Mp3s

May I suggest using firefox, an Anti-Virus, and Zone Alarm for this? Most of the website appears to be legitimate, but others seem to direct us to viruses and scams. It is totally unsafe. I have heard of emp3world.com, but I do not use it for some of the following reasons:

It has some viruses

It directs us to obscene contents

Not all of the songs are complete songs

The website is very glitchy

Although the title may be correct, the song isn't

Very inconnvenient

A lot of broken links

Time = Money, and at the rate you can find music via search engines, it would be more costly than using iTunes

iTunes has much better quality

Very low bitrate.

I prefer to use legal downloads

I absolutely love allofmp3.com becuase of the conveniance and the fact that you can choose the exact format and bitrate that you want to encode in and choose the price (ergo)

 

The problem is that it is constantly under attack by the RIAA etc and I'm sure one day (very soon I have a feeling) it will be shut down like all the other websites being shut down at the moment.

 

Another thing is that you have to top up in $10 increments, which is very frustrating.

That's a good find. I like it a lot, because a lot of times I search the internet trying to find good radio stations to listen to the songs I like. So far I have been using LAUNCHcast.

I just use itunes. Not the store, but the netcast. It works well. Then, if I like stuff, I see if I can find it on allofmp3.com

MP3.com went down the drain when they dumped thousands of independent artists they used to host. Now it is a complete wast of space.

 

As for this google thing, its pretty cool. I think the primary use for it would be to find commercial music. If it where an independent artist, im sure you would already know where their website is to get their music. I am pretty tempted to use this to find a few john coltrane songs to fill in the gaps in my collection.

Wow I'm going to have to try this. I usually used bit torrents and they hardly ever work lol. And if you get soemthing popular theres so many torrents to choose from and their all broken or have viruses and other nasty stuff like that. So this new way seems rather cool. *off to try-out*

Oh kewl, I won't download anything because it's this legal thing and you can't do it without paying money... What I will do is try searching ?intitle:index.of? mp3 Mars Volta returned 151 results...I 'think' that you will get like 1000 if you use Kazaa or WinMX though... But if you're in school then you can use google

http://www.vinden.nl/ is a very good way to find mp3's. It's a Dutch site but I think you can use it quite easy even if you aren't Dutch. I don't use it very much but it's a good site. You also could try http://www.ewoman.net/ that's maybe an even better one.
