Rhizome21 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 I've found an easier, more efficient way to get mp3s -- by using google.Type this command when using google: ?intitle:index.of? mp3 followed by the name of an artist or song. Once you've done that, a crap load of open directories will pop up linking you to what you're looking for. Here's an example: ?intitle:index.of? mp3 Mars Volta
redsox58 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Good find. I also find that the altavista audio search works well too. https://www.yahoo.com/music/?ref=gs Its sometimes hard to find the link that has the download or to find anything that is relevant to your search. But I guess you can't really complain since its free.
eyvind 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 That is cool! Good job Rhizome! This doesn't ahve to be used just for mp3s, you can use it to find any open directory, but sure, mp3s might be very applicable. How did you find that?
jet 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Thats great :PThe only problem with Altavista's Audio search is sometimes their cache is very, very old, and the page which is meant to have the song you want on it no longer exists.

Silent Soul X 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Yeah but is it legal to do this, i suppose it's up to the user really on what he/she searches if it's legal or not, but other then that, it's a great idea if your looking for a specific legal music
banjosforpeace 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 That is just about the best little trick I've seen in a while!
madcrow 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 This is a cool little "legal exploit." It's certatinly more effective than praying to Pirates (pronounced pie-rat-eez) the Greek god of warez...I used to know a cool Google trick that would let you look at unsecured webcams, but fewer and fewer cams are being left unsecured these days I do know how to make certain models of Coke machine tell you what drinks people are buying, but that's a different story... Don't have to use P2P program anymore (didn't use it for like a year already because don't want to do illegal stuffs.) Thanks man.
