spinefan03 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 ive never tried it on a ps2, and to be honest, i wouldnt want to ... the ps2 was not designed to run anything else, its too small to fit add' equipment and too small for descent cooling (i know because ive fried two already from leaving them running all the time) But on the other hand, the xbox works great. The parts are all PC with makes it great for adding components, and its really easy to mod,,, $150 box and a $30 mod chip and youve now got a server for $180 that will not only run linux but also play games with amazing graphics,,, can it get even better (yes, you can get two)
madcrow 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2005 PS2 linux is a decent implementation and works very well. Sony used to sell and market it to people looking to devlop freeware for the PS2, but they no longer do so because it was used to make software that needed mod chips, which, of course, Sony doesn't support.
