Antnydude47 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2005 Running XP Pro with no problems until today. Attempted to set up another account. When I did so, It somehow became the Admin. user. I deleted that account and now my desktop comes up as If I just installed XP. Outlook Express can't be found, I get 2 to 4 syntex errors for every page I go to, HJT is attached, but will not delete and selected options. System Restore was turned off. Can I get my system back to where it was???? HJT shows WMP but if I click on a movie, the option to download it comes up...?Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1Scan saved at 11:59:59 PM, on 4/2/2005Platform: Windows XP (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 (6.00.2600.0000)Running processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVGUARD.EXEC:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVWUPSRV.EXEC:\WINDOWS\System32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\wuauclt.exeC:\Program Files\SECRETMAKER\secretmaker.exeC:\WINDOWS\explorer.exeC:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasDtServ.exeC:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasServ.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpenc.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpenc.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\dllhost.exeC:\Program Files\Secretmaker\ClearProg.exeC:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exeR0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://yahoo.com/R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName = R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missingO2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYBOT~1\SDHelper.dllO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [bCWipeTM Startup] "C:\Program Files\Jetico\BCWipe\BCWipeTM.exe" startupO4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gcasServ] "C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcasServ.exe"O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AVGCtrl] C:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVGNT.EXE /minO4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [MicrosoftAntiSpywareCleaner] C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\gcASCleaner.exeO4 - Global Startup: Adobe Reader Speed Launch.lnk.disabledO4 - Global Startup: SECRETMAKER.lnk = C:\Program Files\SECRETMAKER\secretmaker.exeO15 - ProtocolDefaults: '@ivt' protocol is in My Computer Zone, should be Intranet ZoneO15 - ProtocolDefaults: 'file' protocol is in My Computer Zone, should be Internet ZoneO15 - ProtocolDefaults: 'ftp' protocol is in My Computer Zone, should be Internet ZoneO15 - ProtocolDefaults: 'http' protocol is in My Computer Zone, should be Internet ZoneO15 - ProtocolDefaults: 'https' protocol is in My Computer Zone, should be Internet ZoneO16 - DPF: {2A32B14F-4D29-4EA3-AC54-E9B19F436CE7} - O16 - DPF: {74D05D43-3236-11D4-BDCD-00C04F9A3B61} - O23 - Service: AntiVir Service (AntiVirService) - H+BEDV Datentechnik GmbH - C:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVGUARD.EXEO23 - Service: AntiVir Update (AVWUpSrv) - H+BEDV Datentechnik GmbH, Germany - C:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVWUPSRV.EXEO23 - Service: Intel NCS NetService (NetSvc) - IntelĀ® Corporation - C:\Program Files\Intel\NCS\Sync\NetSvc.exehelp

renshs 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2005 yeah spacewaste is right accouts are always added as admin, this can be changed from the main account by going to the control panel then user accounts ( if it opens in the current account press home) then select the account and click account type theres 2 administrator and limited (best to have minimal administrators.
