ill 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2005 Jack, the main dude playe by Adrian Brody, returns from the Gulf War and is hitching I guess, well anyways he stops and helps this child and her mother by fixing their truck and gives the child his dog tags. Later he hitchhikes with some dude and the movie snaps forward to him in court and he gets not guilty by insanity. He gets put in an asylum where a doctor experiments with drugs on him where he escapes into a future reality through the drugs. He reunites with the little girl who is now a 20 something year old, played by Keira Knightley, and pursues a relationship with her and soon learns that he has died in 1993. The date is 2007! So he proceeds as any other human would..
