ignition 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 A lot of major sites have little icons that appear to the left of the URL in the browser. Xisto has the litts A symbol up there, Google has the large G, etc. The icons also appear in the bookmars menu.I was wondering how you put those icons on your site? I've looked through the cpanel, but couldn't find anything about it.Any help or whatever would be appreciated! Thanks, ignition

Thanks, ignition <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi Ignition, You simply have to create an icon, name it favicon.ico and save it in your root folder. It should be visible in many browsers. To test in Firefox just look on the left of the URL and on IE it should appear on bookmarks. Hope this helps! ewc21

ignition 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Thanks guys...sorry I didn't search before posting! (I didn't think search would turn up much, though, because I wasn't sure of what the icons were called)
szupie 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Yeah, it's hard to search for something if you don't know what it's called... I'm closing this topic.
