szupie 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 What? Are you trying to download and install a whole Linux distro? You'd have to download the iso file and burn it as a bootable cd/dvd! You can't just extract and install.Unless I read your post the wrong way.

coder2000 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2005 If I read the topic correctly you are using Demudi, which from my understanding is a media os similar to Windows XP media center edition. That project has become AGNULA as far as I can see. From that standpoint I would have to say that the capabilities of the os have been limited to its main focus. I would suggest using a different distrobution if you intend to use it as a desktop os. However if I am completely wrong in your intentions I am sorry. Thanks alot. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, if you didn't say free I would say photoshop under wine. As is, try GIMP for digital painting/design. Word processing will be easily handled by OpenOffice. coder2000 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2005 A good free graphics editor is GIMP. It is pretty much the linux equivilant of photoshop and is installed by default when select the graphics package.
